Alexander Chikunov, Managing Partner of Sova VC, has been appointed to the Forbes Finance Council, whose members are hi ghly respected leaders and executives selected based on the depth and diversity of their experience in the financial services industry.
A former Forbes 30 under 30 nominee, Alexander led the launch of Sova VC, one of London’s new VC firms, in September 2021 and has since undertaken a series of investments as part of the firm’s plan to invest over £50 million in a portfolio of early stage technology companies. An experienced investor with background in venture capital and corporate finance he also serves as a business mentor for a range of start-ups and accelerator platforms and was recently appointed a UK Tech Nation Ambassador.

Since January, Sova VC has completed 4 investments, which include B2B translation platform Smartcat, Laundryheap, the on-demand laundry platform, Geomiq, a UK based B2B marketplace aimed at connecting the world’s best engineers with the world’s best manufacturers, and Feel, a year old UK start-up manufacturing and selling pure nutritional supplements via a subscription service.
